So, I just banged on the NFL - everything sacred - and now can't walk away from it. I always tell people the same thing: Don't discourage somebody trying to do a good thing without a solution and while I did mention the NFL and their corporate partners might want to consider something more "actionable" I didn't show an example of a campaign that stands out in the face of domestic violence. Looks like another 'black eye' for NFL - using a crisis management team to market products when you have a pressing social issue seems a bit irresponsible. "Never let a good crisis go to waste" I guess...
How about paying for a national hotline connecting people who know/think somebody needs help but scared to get involved and funding it with the NFL money or the sponsor money? But, selling slippers and headphones and nail polish doesn't do anything unless it's connected.
